2023 Colas Team Cup finals
Sintra Inc, with Colas Canada, is at the Colas Team Cup finals in Marrakesh, Morocco. Our team, consisting of employees and students from across Canada, arrived in Marrakesh on Tuesday, March 14. Participants will take part in three competitions throughout the week: talent, soccer, and running.
Before starting the Team Cup, Team Canada visited the Medina in Marrakesh to take-in the breath-taking architecture and learn more about the history of this incredible city.
Day 1
Wednesday, March 15 marked the first day of the finals. Team Canada started the day ready for the competition. Our runners are doing quite well, despite the crushing heat during the races that affected all participants.
DAY 2
As we head into day 2, Canada's running team is ranked 8th out of 12. Our soccer team faced difficult competition from around the world. On this final day of competition, they are playing in the tournament for the teams who are not advancing to the finals.
The student competition starts today so stay tuned on how well Team Canada does.
DAY 3
Day 3 kicked off with outstanding results for our participants in the Incredible Talents competition. Congratulations to Sarah Walker, from Halifax, NS for winning the student competition and Nancy Bastien for placing second in the employee competition.
In the soccer competition, our student team advanced all the way to the final game despite stiff competition. Our employee teams in running and soccer also faced stiff competition. While they didn't win, they embodied our core values of caring, sharing, and daring.
